Pipeline construction

Longitudinally welded pipes made from sheet metal are used in a wide range of pipeline construction applications.

 

Oil, gas and chemical industry                                                              

The manufactured pipes are used in refineries, desalination plants and gas purification plants – to name just a few areas of application.

Another focus is on

  • Line pipes for the transportation of media
  • tank shells

UnionStahl Nord has adapted its stock to the various areas of application and material requirements:

  • heat-resistant steels in accordance with EN 10028-2/3 and ASTM/ASME
  • plates according to ISO 3183

 

Offshore

Tubes are used in the foundations of offshore wind turbines (jacket constructions, monopiles and transition pieces) and in the construction of platforms for oil and gas extraction.

The processed steels must be able to withstand low temperatures.

In order to be a reliable partner for our customers, we stock plates in accordance with EN 10225 and NORSOK.

 

Power plant construction

Nowadays, there is one major goal: reducing emissions. The power generation industry is trying to achieve this by optimizing the materials and technologies used, in addition to increasing the efficiency of the plants.

As a reliable supplier, UnionStahl Nord supports you in the realization of your projects:

  • Stocking of steels in accordance with DIN EN, ASTM, ASME and API that can withstand the requirements for heat resistance and high pressures

Construction industry / structural tubes

Tubes are used for structural and decorative functions in the construction of bridges, stadiums or buildings. UnionStahl Nord is a reliable partner for the supply of structural steels with lengths of up to 16,000 mm, 3.2 approvals, in accordance with DBS 918002-2 and notched bar impact test at -40°C.

 

Mechanical engineering

The main areas of application for tubes here are cranes, rollers and paper machine construction. The materials used are S235 and S355, S690.
